KALANJALI COMMITTEE
G Pullaiah College of Engineering and Technology has always strived for the holistic development of its students. To develop leadership skills in the students, GPCET conducts extracurricular activities. This development is very important, as it helps the student to be aware of their strengths. This facilitates the students to play a role in the team naturally and comfortably. Participating in the different activities, the students build up the essential qualities that pave their way to developing their employability skills automatically. With this objective, the Kalanjali Committee conducts activities every fortnight and motivates the students to participate in these activities. Some of the students also volunteer for the committee’s work.
The Kalanjali Committee stipulates the students to express their opinions and devises activities to improve their management skills in addition to their academics. The committee also facilitates its pupils to look into their interests. By doing so, the committee plays a significant role in promoting the holistic development of its students. Encouraging the students to participate in these activities and volunteer for the committee’s work promotes a sense of responsibility and ownership among the students. By actively participating in the committee’s activities, the students can build the necessary qualities that can help them excel in their professional careers.






C-Club
C Club is a Coding Club that was introduced with an intention of facilitating GPCET students with the activities that enhance student’s coding and logical thinking skills. Besides this, the club encourages the students to participate in an Intra department coding contests to exercise their creativity by finding solutions for problems. The objective of this club is Hands-on and Co-operative learning – to be precise engages students in problem solving and higher order thinking. Knowledge of computer programming helps in involving the students to consider a program in a reasonable and analytical manner. With this perspective, the club has strived to help the students to focus on the problem-solving skills. This technical club is considered a valuable one and is also an instrumental of success of an GPCET student commodity.
The club:
- Provides a platform to the students to enhance coding and logical thinking skills.
- Encourages the students to participate coding contests.
- Coding club regularly organizes counseling sessions or mentor sessions to counsel all the beginners and other members of coding club to guide what is right path to practice coding.
VIRTUOSO CLUB
Virtuoso Club is an English Language Club that was introduced with an intention of facilitating GPCET students with the activities that enhance student’s skills. Besides this, the club also encourages the students to use language to voice their point of view, involve in a regulated discussion, and finally demonstrate critical thinking. The objective this club is Learning by Thinking – to be precise How reflecting on an experience improves performance. Knowledge plays an important role in the productivity and prosperity of economies, organizations, and individuals. Keeping this point in view, the club has strived to help the students to focus on the role of doing (experience) in fostering progress over time. The result of reflection on learning is mediated by greater perceived ability to accomplish a goal and that is self-efficacy.
The club:
- Provides a platform to the students to express their opinions.
- Encourages the students to demonstrate their critical thinking abilities.
- Builds in confidence among the students so as to use this platform to practice listening skills, and also practice speaking interactively English language within the students’ community.
The club has been conducting activities such as elocutions, debates, story- telling, reading exercises, discussions on issues that encourage critical thinking and problem solving.

ANVESHNA
Placing Win to Win Attitude as GPCET’s objective, Anveshana club has been started with the objective of exploring hidden technologies in engineering and technology by promoting research and innovative activities among the students and faculty. Since its inception, this club is actively working to fulfill its objective by conducting various activities for both the students and faculty.
The club has involved:
- To bring out the innovative ideas from the students.
- Conducted workshop on 3D Printing and Code Blocks and training programs.
- In inviting experts from both the private, and government industries and skill development centers.
Activities for faculty:
- Faculty research is the continuous process, with the research outcome of faculty a monthly newsletter is being prepared and distributed among the faculty.
- Faculty Development Programs, Workshops, Seminars, webinars etc, conducted to upgrade the knowledge in emerging areas, IoT, Machine Learning, 3D Printing etc.
Faculty also developed research proposals on innovative ideas, submitted to the funding agencies like AICTE, DST, ISRO, SERB. Some among them are approved by the agencies, waiting for release of fund, at present research two projects are ongoing, details are given below.

Project Title: Investigation of Indian Ionosphere Irregularities Correlation with Space Weather Parameters for Navigation Applications

Budget: 9.63 Lakhs

Project Title: Investigation of Multi-Frequency Multi-GNSS Signal Quality and Satellites Selection for Navigation Applications over the India
Principal Investigator: Dr. K.C.T.Swamy, Associate Professor, ECE Department
Funding agency: SERB, DST New Delhi, Government of India.
Budget: 47.51 Lakhs
Duration: 3 Years (2018-2021)
