“Without a solid foundation, you’ll have trouble creating anything of value” which signifies the importance of the Department of Humanities and Sciences. The Department builds up the foothold of the students and provides interdisciplinary acquaintance of various branches and its subjects. It is a unique combination of different disciplines like Languages, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Environmental Studies and Physical Education. It also includes interdisciplinary branches of Engineering like Drawing and Workshop Training. To facilitate comprehension and innovative teaching the faculty is provided with latest teaching equipments. The department has fully equipped laboratories with best facilities. The Department has a special mission to foster collaborative, interdisciplinary research in different areas of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English that will address the future needs of the society. Besides teaching regular syllabus, the department also pays special attention on the communication skills and soft skills of the students. We have language laboratory which is well equipped with latest technology and software.

         Beyond the classrooms, students are provided with an opportunity to exhibit their talent, creative skills and leadership qualities through various quizzes, workshops, group discussions, debates, presentation skills, art galore etc. The department arranges various expert lectures, educational visits, various contests for students. The Department, apart from Drawing, Workshop Training and English competence, also focuses on co-curricular activities, and trains the students for competitive examinations for their smart performance in this cut throat competitive world.

             The department houses various committees like Library Committee, Women’s Grievance Cell, Student’s Grievance Cell, Virtuoso-The English Club, Kalanjali-The Cultural Committee, Alumni Committee, NSS Committee, and Games & Sports Committee.
