The department was established during the inception of the institute in 2007 with intake of 60 with the growing demand for electrical engineering the intake has increased to 120 in the year 2012. In 2010 the department has started M.Tech program with specialization in Electrical power systems with an intake of 18. The department is permanently affiliated to JNTUA, Anantapuramu and is recognized by UGC under 2(f) and 12(b) and is also certified by ISO in the year 2015.

The primary objective of department is to equip the student with cutting edge technologies and to provide hands on experience through laboratory work and to inculcate lifelong learning through innovative ideas and projects to meet the current industry requirements.

The department focuses on over all development of the student by imparting soft skills through projects, seminars and presentations. The department encourages the students in doing association activities and industrial visits. Value education and professional ethics are also an integral part of curriculum.

Teaching learning process is strengthened by continuous feedback both oral and written from students. Besides periodical tests the department organizes well designed assignments, remedial and tutorial classes whenever it is required. The Department of EEE has been well structured in terms of highly qualified and experienced faculty and state of art laboratory facilities. The department has established student chapters under IE(I) and IEEE to motivate the student community to organizes many events such as paper presentation, Guest lectures etc.

The department possesses license and state of art software’s Viz, MATLAB/SIMULINK and LAB VIEW and also possesses NPTEL videos (Procured from IIT Madras) on different courses that are being thought at UG and PG levels.

The department is progressing well to fulfill the vision of institution with the moto to provide value based education with a goal of “PIONEERING INNOVATIVE EDUCATION.”
